ManualCOAMSDSTrophoblast glycoprotein (TPBG), also known as 5T4, is a carcinoembryonic type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is specifically expressed in the placental trophoblast during embryonic development, where it participates in implantation and embryogenesis, while exhibiting only minimal expression in normal adult tissues. This target is highly expressed across multiple solid tumor types, including lung, gastric, and ovarian cancers, where it mediates tumor invasion and metastasis, and has therefore emerged as a promising therapeutic target for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and cancer vaccines, as well as an unfavorable prognostic biomarker.
