FAP (seprase) is a type II transmembrane serine protease with membrane and soluble forms. It cleaves post-proline substrates with preference for Ala/Ser-Gly-Pro-Ser/Asn/Ala motif, degrades gelatin and heat-denatured type I collagen, and displays dipeptidyl peptidase activity against Ala-Pro, Ile-Pro, Gly-Pro, Arg-Pro and Pro-Pro. Complexed with DPP4, PLAUR or integrins, membrane FAP mediates pericellular ECM degradation to support cell adhesion, migration and invasion, and promotes glioma invasion through brevican cleavage. FAP acts as a protease-activity-independent tumor suppressor in melanocytes by regulating proliferation and survival.

| Protein Construction & Source | ·Recombinant Cynomolgus macaque(NCBI: XP_005573377.1) FAP Protein is expressed from HEK293 cells with hFc(IgG1) tag at the N-terminus.It contains AA Leu 26- Asp 760.·The protein has a predicted MW of 111 kDa. The protein migrates as 110-120 kDa when calibrated against under reducing (R) condition (SDS- PAGE) due to glycosylation. |
| Endotoxin | < 0.1 EU per ug as determined by the LAL method. |
| Purity | > 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
| Concentration & Formulation | ·1.43 mg/mL ·Filtered through a 0.22 μm filter, stored in 25 mM Sodium Citrate, 1x PBS,pH 7.4. |
| Transportation & Storage | ·This product is shipped under low-temperature conditions. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles during handling.·Protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for 2-7 days.·Samples are stable for 3 months from date of receipt at -20℃ /-80℃. ·Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. |
