ManualCOAMSDSFolate Receptor 1 (FOLR1, also FRα/FBP/FOLR), a high-affinity folate receptor family member, binds folic acid and its reduced derivatives to transport 5-methyltetrahydrofolate into cells. As an N-glycosylated GPI-anchored membrane protein, it mainly expresses in epithelial cells and is highly overexpressed in most carcinomas. Normal cells take up folate via reduced folate carriers, while carcinoma and myeloid leukemia cells abundantly express FOLR1 to meet the high folate demand for fast proliferation.

| Protein Construction & Source | ·Recombinant Rhesus macaque (Uniprot: F7BP60) FRα Protein is expressed from HEK293 cells with Avi-His tag at the C-terminus. It contains AA Arg 25 - Met 233.In the region Arg 25 - Met 233, the amino acid sequences of Cynomolgus and Rhesus macaque FOLR1 are identical.·The protein has a predicted MW of 28.1 kDa. The protein migrates as 35-45 kDa when calibrated against under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation. |
| Endotoxin | < 0.1 EU per ug as determined by the LAL method. |
| Purity | >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
| Concentration & Formulation | ·1.03 mg/mL·Filtered through a 0.22 μm filter, stored in 1x PBS, pH 7.4. |
| Transportation & Storage | ·This product is shipped under low-temperature conditions. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles during handling.·Protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for 2-7 days.·Samples are stable for 3 months from date of receipt at -20℃ /-80℃. ·Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. |
