ManualCOAMSDST-cell surface glycoprotein CD8 alpha chain (CD8a) is a single-pass type I membrane protein. Expressed on thymocytes, mature T cells and NK cells, CD8 participates in MHC class I antigen recognition and T-cell activation signal transduction. CD8 consists of α and β polypeptide chains. The Ig domain of CD8α regulates its expression; cysteine mutations in B/F strands impair protein folding and expression. CD8A defects lead to autosomal recessive familial CD8 deficiency, characterized by loss of CD8+ T cells and recurrent bacterial infections.
| Synonyms | CD8A, CD8 alpha, CD8α, Leu2, MAL, p32 |

| Protein Construction & Source | •(Uniprot: P01732-1) Recombinant Human CD8A Protein is expressed from HEK293 cells with hFc(IgG1) tag at the C-Terminus. It contains AA Ser 22 - Asp 182. •The protein has a predicted MW of 44.4 kDa. The protein migrates as 50-60 kDa when calibrated against under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation. |
| Endotoxin | < 0.1 EU per ug as determined by the LAL method. |
| Purity | > 90 % as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
| Concentration & Formulation | •3.92 mg/mL•Filtered through a 0.22 μm filter, stored in 25 mM Sodium Citrate, 1x PBS, pH 7.4. |
| Transportation & Storage | This product is shipped under low-temperature conditions. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles during handling.•Protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for 2-7 days.•Samples are stable for 3 months from date of receipt at -20℃ /-80℃.•Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. |
