Cadherin-17, also known as liver-intestine (LI) Cadherin, belongs to the cadherin family of calcium-dependent cell adhesion molecules. Cadherin-17/LI-cadherin is a cadherin-like protein consisting of an extracellular region, 7 cadherin domains, and a transmembrane region but lacking the conserved cytoplasmic domain. The protein is a component of the gastrointestinal tract and pancreatic ducts, acting as an intestinal proton-dependent peptide transporter in the first step in oral absorption of many medically important peptide-based drugs. Cadherin-17 may have a role in the morphological organization of liver and intestine and involved in intestinal peptide transport.
| Synonyms | Cadherin-17, CDH17, HPT-1, LI-cadherin |

| Protein Construction & Source | •Recombinant Human CDH17 (Uniprot: Q12864-1) Protein is expressed from HEK293 cells with Avi-His tag at the C-terminus. It contains AA Gln 23 - Met 787.•The protein has a predicted MW of 88.6 kDa. The protein migrates as 100-115 kDa when calibrated against under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation. |
| Endotoxin | < 0.1 EU per ug as determined by the LAL method. |
| Purity | > 90 % as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
| Concentration & Formulation | •1.95 mg/mL•Filtered through a 0.22 μm filter, stored in 1x PBS, pH 7.4. |
| Transportation & Storage | This product is shipped under low-temperature conditions. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles during handling.•Protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for 2-7 days.•Samples are stable for 3 months from date of receipt at -20℃ /-80℃.•Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. |
