ManualCOAMSDSCEACAM6 belongs to the seven-member human CEACAM family of the immunoglobulin superfamily (CEACAM2 is not present in humans). Human CEACAMs include type I transmembrane proteins (CEACAM1/3/4) and GPI-anchored molecules (CEACAM5-8). CEACAM6 consists of one N-terminal V-type and two C2-type Ig-like domains. Extensive glycosylation, including (sialyl) LewisX, supports its binding to E-selectin, galectins and bacterial fimbriae. Expressed in granulocytes, their progenitors and multiple epithelia, CEACAM6 is upregulated in pancreatic and colon adenocarcinomas and hyperplastic polyps, and its overexpression confers tumor cell resistance to adhesion-related apoptosis.

| Protein Construction & Source | •(Uniprot: P40199-1) Recombinant Human CEACAM6 Protein is expressed from HEK293 cells with hFc(IgG1) tag at the C-terminus. It contains AA Lys 35 - Gly 320. •The protein has a predicted MW of 57.3 kDa. The protein migrates as 70-85 kDa when calibrated against under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation. |
| Endotoxin | < 0.1 EU per ug as determined by the LAL method. |
| Purity | > 85 % as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
| Concentration & Formulation | •6.8 mg/mL•Filtered through a 0.22 μm filter, stored in 25 mM Sodium Citrate, 1x PBS, pH 7.4. |
| Transportation & Storage | This product is shipped under low-temperature conditions. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles during handling.•Protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for 2-7 days.•Samples are stable for 3 months from date of receipt at -20℃ /-80℃.•Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. |
